Message from the Vice President for Student Life
We are incredibly enthusiastic and optimistic as we prepare to embark on the 2021-22 academic year! As summer quickly draws to a close, we want to provide you with details related to the start of the fall semester and COVID-19. One of Â鶹ÊÓƵ University's primary goals has been, and continues to be, to care well for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ community of students, faculty, staff, and their families, even as we continue to fulfill our mission to provide Christ-Centered education that promotes excellence and character development in service to Church and society.
The following are details and links to resources pertaining to the University's plans for the 21-22 academic year:
- All classes that are scheduled to meet in-person will do so, and classes that are scheduled to take place online will follow that format; relatedly, we will follow the pre-established academic calendar.
- We are returning to normal activity (e.g., curricular and co-curricular events, class structure/size, chapel, , etc.).
- Move-in Day for new students and Welcome Week begin on Thursday, August 12.
- Vaccines for students, faculty, and staff are encouraged, but not required, by the university. Vaccines are readily for all members of the university community. Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Jackson campus is partnering with the Madison County Health Department to offer the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on campus September 7 & 28. Students and employees can record their vaccination card here.
- Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Health Clinic on the Jackson campus is offering COVID-19 PCR testing. You can schedule an appointment here. Other sites offering testing can be found here.
- Masks are not required on campus. Capacity limits and social distancing requirements have also been lifted. With that said, individuals should take personal responsibility for their health. If they feel unwell, they should stay away from others, seek medical attention, and obtain a COVID-19 test.
- Â鶹ÊÓƵ University will continue to follow state and local guidance related to isolation and quarantine protocols, as well as other recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

We are continually amazed by the Lord's favor and blessing on the people and place of Â鶹ÊÓƵ University. Likewise, we eagerly anticipate the good things He will do in and through each of you over the course of this academic year.
