Ethos

Intellectual rigor as an act of worship.

We believe that loving God with all your mind is not a passive aspiration. It is an active pursuit that requires cultivation, discipline, and genuine engagement with the hardest questions a person can face. The Institute for Intellectual Discipleship exists to support that pursuit, advancing the Christian intellectual tradition, integrating faith and knowledge across every discipline, and equipping students to engage culture, church, and society with informed, distinctly Christian reflection. For students who want more from their education than information transfer, the IID provides the programs, the partnerships, and the community to develop a life of the mind worthy of the God it honors.

Classical, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies

The Classical, Medieval, and Renaissance Studies minor at Â鶹ÊÓƵ University is an interdisciplinary 18-hour program open to all students. Drawing on offerings across multiple departments, students explore the history, literature, philosophy, and culture of the ancient and pre-modern world — culminating in a 1-hour capstone experience.
