JACKSON, Tenn. — Nov. 4, 2005 — A collection of films focused on spiritual experiences will be showcased at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Nov. 7-8 as part of the Damah Film Festival.
Damah is a nonprofit organization that sponsors an annual international film competition in Los Angeles as a means of encouraging young filmmakers to express spiritual experiences through film. The films to be shown during the two-night festival at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be the finalists from the past two years of the international contest.
The film studies program at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, the Carl F.H. Henry Center for Christian Leadership and the Digital Media Studies Society are sponsoring the event.
The festival will be held at 7 p.m. each night in Harvey Auditorium in the Student Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Building on Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s campus. The presentation will last about two hours, with different films being shown each night.
The event is free and open to the public.
