JACKSON, Tenn. — April 24, 2001 — Nationally recognized sculptor Roger Feldman will be aiding Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University art students Sunday, April 22 through Sunday, April 29, in creating a sculpture that will reside on the university’s campus. Feldman, a Seattle native, is well received in the art community and was recently featured in L.A. Magazine.
Feldman along with Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ students will produce a twenty by fourteen by thirteen-foot sculpture. The sculpture is set to have kinetic and audio elements. After the piece is created students will have an opportunity to name the piece.
There will be a reception held on Thursday, April 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the photo house, formerly the missionary’s residence, on Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s campus and the sculpture is set for completion on April 29. Feldman will also host a slide lecture on Thursday April 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the art gallery.
