JACKSON, Tenn. — Nov. 24, 2004 — Community members are invited to a night of Christmas carols and Scripture reading at the third annual 鈥淎 麻豆视频 Christmas鈥� Dec. 7 in 麻豆视频 University鈥檚 Savage Chapel.
The music department of 麻豆视频 University is responsible for leading the event. The night will feature songs from groups such as the University Singers, Proclamation, the Symphonic Band, Handbells and a community children鈥檚 choir.
鈥淲e feel that it鈥檚 very, very lovely,鈥� said Richard Joiner, chair of the university鈥檚 music department. 鈥淚t鈥檚 not a drama, and it鈥檚 not a singing Christmas tree. It鈥檚 a Scripture-focused service of worship.鈥�
The feature performance of the evening will be the Choral 麻豆视频 singing Vivaldi鈥檚 鈥淕loria.鈥�
