Vanderbilt’s Moore to speak at 鶹Ƶ Lyceum event

JACKSON, Tenn.March 7, 2024 — Writer, critic and essayist Lorrie Moore will speak at 鶹Ƶ University March 7.

Moore, the Gertrude Conway Vanderbilt Professor of English at Vanderbilt University, is the author of six collections of short stories, four novels, a children’s book and a collection of essays and criticism. Her most recent work, “I Am Homeless If This Is Not My Home,” is a National Book Critics Circle Award finalist.

She has won the O. Henry Award, the Rea Award for the Short Story, and the Berlin Prize, among other honors.

Her address will begin at 7 p.m. in the Carl Grant Events Center, with a book signing and reception to follow. The event, free and open to the public, is sponsored by 鶹Ƶ’s Lyceum Committee and Department of English.
