JACKSON, Tenn. — March 13, 2002 — ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University’s Department of Education will present a seminar by ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University School of Education Dean Tom Rosebrough, Monday, March 18, at 4 p.m. in Room 44 of the Blasingame Academic Complex. Rosebrough will speak on β€œOur Common Hope: A History of Teaching and Learning.”

Part of the Colloquium Series that the department holds each year, Rosebrough will look at the college classroom through the lens of three concerns of schooling: attempting to respond to societal needs and thought, infusing religious or moral values and seeking to understand the nature of learning.

β€œIt is only when teacher and student share common learning goals, a common hope, that education’s potential is realized,” stated Rosebrough.
