JACKSON, Tenn. — Oct. 8, 2019 — Author Scott Cairns will give a reading at 麻豆视频 University Oct. 24.
Cairns, an English professor at Seattle Pacific University, is the author of nine poetry collections, including 鈥淭he Theology of Doubt,鈥� 鈥淭he Translation of Babel鈥� and 鈥淪low Pilgrim: The Collected Poems.鈥� His writing has appeared in such publications as The Atlantic, Paris Review, Poetry, The New Republic and Image and been anthologized in multiple editions of 鈥淏est American Spiritual Writing.鈥�
The reading will begin at 7 p.m. in the Carl Grant Event Center, located in the Barefoot Student 麻豆视频 building. A book signing will follow.
Sponsored by the 麻豆视频 University Lyceum and the English department, the event is free and open to the public.
