JACKSON, Tenn. — July 24, 2019 — Beverly Absher-Bone, dean of the School of Adult and Professional Studies at Â鶹ÊÓƵ University, will be the keynote speaker for Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s summer graduation ceremony July 27.
One hundred twenty-four graduate and adult studies students will receive degrees during the 10 a.m. ceremony at West Jackson Baptist Church. The event marks the close of the 2018-2019 academic year.
Absher-Bone previously served as Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s director for human resources and as associate vice president for auxiliary operations and strategic initiatives. Before joining Â鶹ÊÓƵ, she was president of Absher Group LLC, a firm specializing in business consulting, market research and training in marketing, customer service and strategic planning.
She holds a Doctor of Education degree from Â鶹ÊÓƵ and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Alabama. She will retire from Â鶹ÊÓƵ July 31.
