JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 12, 2002 — Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University alum Roderic W. (Rod) Parker was announced as this year’s recipient of the university’s Outstanding Young Achiever Award at a special awards luncheon held recently during Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Homecoming festivities.

A member of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Board of Trustees, Parker is also a past board member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and C.A.R.E. (Center for Adult Reading and Enrichment).
The Outstanding Young Achiever Award is presented to one, age 35 or younger, who has a record of significant accomplishment in professional life and for service to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University or the world.
