HOMECOMING 2002: Parker awarded Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Outstanding Young Achiever Award

JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 12, 2002 — Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University alum Roderic W. (Rod) Parker was announced as this year’s recipient of the university’s Outstanding Young Achiever Award at a special awards luncheon held recently during Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Homecoming festivities.

Parker, a resident of Michie, Tenn., graduated in 1988 with a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting and finance. After receiving his degree from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, he began his career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and currently owns the Parker Group of the company. Parker is an annual qualifier for the Million Dollar Round Table in his industry.

A member of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Board of Trustees, Parker is also a past board member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and C.A.R.E. (Center for Adult Reading and Enrichment).

The Outstanding Young Achiever Award is presented to one, age 35 or younger, who has a record of significant accomplishment in professional life and for service to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University or the world.
