HOMECOMING 2002: Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ honors distinguished Memphis attorney and alum

JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 12, 2002 — Accomplished attorney-at-law and Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ alum Charles R. Perkins was recently awarded Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University’s Distinguished Alumni Award at the university’s annual Awards Luncheon held recently.

A 1959 graduate from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, Perkins received his J.D. degree from Memphis State University in 1967 and was admitted to the Bar shortly thereafter. In between graduation and earning his law degree, he completed Officer Candidate School and served in various administrative positions and was stationed at the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Memphis, Tenn.

A current member of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Board of Trustees, Perkins has been involved in the work of the university’s Germantown Campus and was an active participant in its founding.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is based upon distinction in one’s profession and for bringing honor and recognition to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University.
