JACKSON, Tenn. — July 23, 2015 — Sam Myatt, professor in continuing studies and assistant registrar at Â鶹ÊÓƵ University, will be the keynote speaker for Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s summer graduation ceremony July 25.
About 140 students will receive degrees during the 11 a.m. ceremony at West Jackson Baptist Church. The event marks the close of the 2014-15 academic year.
Myatt has been a teacher for 40 years, beginning his service at Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 1987. He has served the university in a number of roles and will retire at the end of August. He has been a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson since 1987.
