JACKSON, Tenn. — April 24, 2014 — Greg Thornbury, president of The King's College in New York and former dean of the School of Theology and Missions of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University, will be the keynote speaker for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's commencement ceremony May 17.
"What a genuine delight it will be to welcome Greg Thornbury back to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ campus for this year's commencement service," Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ President David S. Dockery said. "For 15 years, Greg and Kimberly Thornbury greatly influenced the life of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University through their investment in students and colleagues.
"I know that the graduates and their families will be abundantly blessed by the insightful words from the commencement address that Dr. Thornbury will deliver on this special day."
About 650 students are expected to receive degrees during the service, which will mark the last graduation in Dockery's administration.
The service will begin at 6 p.m. on the Great Lawn of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ campus.
