JACKSON, Tenn. — Oct. 4, 2001 — Â鶹ÊÓƵ University recently took home top honors at the Baptist Press Excellence in Journalism competition on September 27 – 29.
The Cardinal & Cream newspaper was awarded second place for overall school newspaper. The Lest We Forget yearbook also received second place for overall yearbook.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ received etched glass trophies to commemorate their achievements in journalism. The competition’s judges included professional journalists at some of the nation’s most respected newspaper.
