JACKSON, Tenn. — Aug. 31, 2012 — Enrollment at ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University for the fall semester is a record-high 4,259 students β the 15th straight year for an enrollment increase at the university.
βIt is joy to welcome the 4,259 talented students who have come to ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ from all over the country, as well as from various countries around the globe, to study with the outstanding teaching faculty at this institution,β ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ President David S. Dockery said. βWe salute the enrollment and student services teams along with the academic program directors who have helped to recruit these fine students to this university.β
Undergraduate enrollment at ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ is 3,025, the second straight year for that figure to surpass 3,000. Graduate enrollment is 1,234, an all-time high. This yearβs total enrollment is an increase of 54 students from last year.
This year also marks 15 straight years for the number of new traditional undergraduate students to top 500.
The latest enrollment figures show a 116 percent increase over the 1,972 students enrolled in the fall of 1996, when ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University President David S. Dockery began his tenure.
