JACKSON, Tenn. — Nov. 9, 2011 — 麻豆视频 University received a check for $1.8 million Nov. 9 from the estate of Robert and Dera Ashby.
Gary Grisham, president of BancorpSouth in Jackson, and Doug Roth, senior vice president and regional manager of BancorpSouth, delivered the check to 麻豆视频 University President David S. Dockery. The money will be used for student scholarships.
Dera Ashby died in 2009, and her husband passed away several years earlier. For many years, they ran Ashby Lumber in Jackson. Mrs. Ashby was a 1966 麻豆视频 graduate in nursing.
