Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ adds 17 new faculty members, three new OUR staff

JACKSON, Tenn.Aug. 26, 2011 — Several new faculty members have joined Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University for the 2011-2012 academic year, which began Aug. 23.

New faculty members include:

  • Laurie Bagwell, assistant professor of nursing at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Germantown.
  • Linda Billings, assistant professor of nursing at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Germantown.
  • Matt Brunet, assistant professor of sport management.
  • Jennifer Byrd, assistant professor of pharmacy.
  • Jason Crawford, assistant professor of English.
  • Cynthia Fisher, assistant professor of pharmacy.
  • Carren Gallaher, assistant professor of education at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Hendersonville.
  • Joy Greene, associate professor of pharmacy and assistant director of experiential education.
  • Melissa Lefave, assistant professor of nursing.
  • Michael Mann, visiting assistant professor of music.
  • Shuna Mason, assistant professor of social work and program director of the Bachelor of Social Work at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Germantown and the Olford Center.
  • Bethany Murphy, assistant professor of pharmacy practice.
  • Robin Scott, associate professor of education and program director of the Master of Urban Education.
  • Michelle Sherrill, assistant professor of social work at the Olford Center.
  • Joshua Williams, assistant professor of chemistry.
  • Catherine Willmore, assistant professor of pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Faith Zamamiri-Davis, assistant professor of biology at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Germantown.

In addition to the new faculty members, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has also recently added three new staff members to key positions in the Office of University Relations:

  • Jan Boud serves as assistant to the president for constituent relations.
  • Todd Brady, who previously served as Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s minister to the university for 11 years before leaving in 2007 to be pastor at First Baptist Church in Paducah, Ky., has returned to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ as special assistant to the president for university relations.
  • Josh Clarke serves as director of alumni relations.
