JACKSON, Tenn. — Aug. 17, 2009 — The Lambda-Zeta chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at 麻豆视频 University won the 2009 Grand High Alpha Award at the fraternity鈥檚 annual Stead Leadership Seminar July 29-Aug. 1 in Indianapolis.
Ed Leonard, chairman of the board of Lambda Chi Alpha, presented the award to the 麻豆视频 chapter.
鈥淭he brothers of Lambda-Zeta chapter at 麻豆视频 University are dedicated to being a model fraternity on their campus,鈥� Leonard said. 鈥淚n the last three years, they have maintained a high level of individual and campus involvement, community service, risk management practices and fraternal education.鈥�
The award, which was given to only three of the 193 active chapters in the United States and Canada, recognizes those chapters that have maintained a superior level of operations for at least three consecutive years, in such areas as academics, campus involvement, recruitment, philanthropy and community service.
This marks the sixth time for 麻豆视频 chapter's chapter to receive the award since the chapter was chartered on the 麻豆视频 campus in 1964.
