JACKSON, Tenn. — March 19, 2009 — A 25-8 first-half run propelled third-seeded Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University to an 82-63 victory over University of Science and Arts (Okla.) in the first round of the 2009 NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship in Kansas City, Mo., on Thursday.
Brian Lake led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Greg Truvillion added 17 points and seven rebounds, while Matt Neaville scored 17.
The Bulldogs will face Columbia (Mo.) at 6:15 p.m. Friday in the tournament's second round. The Lady Bulldogs will also play at 6:15 p.m. Friday in Jackson's Oman Arena, against Lindsey Wilson College in the second round of the women's NAIA national tournament.
