JACKSON, Tenn. — March 19, 2009 — A 25-8 first-half run propelled third-seeded Â鶹ÊÓƵ University to an 82-63 victory over University of Science and Arts (Okla.) in the first round of the 2009 NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship in Kansas City, Mo., on Thursday.
Brian Lake led Â鶹ÊÓƵ with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Greg Truvillion added 17 points and seven rebounds, while Matt Neaville scored 17.
The Bulldogs will face Columbia (Mo.) at 6:15 p.m. Friday in the tournament's second round. The Lady Bulldogs will also play at 6:15 p.m. Friday in Jackson's Oman Arena, against Lindsey Wilson College in the second round of the women's NAIA national tournament.
