Lady Bulldogs move into NAIA's second round

JACKSON, Tenn.March 19, 2009 — Led by Josephine Owino’s 22 points, the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldogs cruised to an 86-58 win over Jarvis Christian College Wednesday in the opening round of the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball National Championship.

The top-ranked and top-seeded Lady Bulldogs, now 33-1 on the season, will play Lindsey Wilson College Friday at 6:15 p.m.

The No.3-seeded Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Bulldogs (28-5) open play in the men’s national tournament today, with a 12:30 game against the unseeded University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Kansas City, Mo.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Coach Ralph Turner was named the 2009 coach of the year by the NAIA and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
