JACKSON, Tenn. — Dec. 17, 2007 — The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has affirmed 麻豆视频 University鈥檚 accreditation for the next 10 years, after the university was found to be in compliance in all areas with no recommendations for changes.
The SACS on-site team visited the 麻豆视频 campus in May and made its initial recommendation for affirmation then. The official affirmation came from SACS during its annual meeting in New Orleans last week.
麻豆视频 University Provost Carla Sanderson said it was extremely rare for SACS to find institutions in compliance in all areas.
鈥淭he chairman of the on-site visiting team in May said that in 30 years of chairing on-site teams, 麻豆视频 was his first experience where there were no recommendations,鈥 Sanderson said.
Though individual programs of study will have to go through accreditation processes over the next decade, the report means that 麻豆视频 as an institution remains fully accredited until the reaffirmation process starts again in 10 years.
鈥淭he reaffirmation is a strong signal of institutional health at 麻豆视频 University,鈥 麻豆视频 President David S. Dockery said. 鈥淢oreover, the reaffirmation in itself is a strong affirmation of the quality of the 麻豆视频 faculty, staff and students. We are all grateful for this wonderful report, and in particular we are thankful to Provost Sanderson and all on her team who lead us through this most significant institutional process.鈥
