麻豆视频 alum Dehoney dies at 82

JACKSON, Tenn.Oct. 25, 2007 — Lealice Dehoney, a 1961 麻豆视频 University alumnus and founding member of the 麻豆视频 Auxiliary, died Oct. 23 at age 82.

Dehoney was also an emeritus trustee and was the wife of Wayne Dehoney, former president of the Southern Baptist Convention and former pastor of First Baptist Church in Jackson, Tenn., and Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky.

鈥淟ealice Dehoney was a loyal friend to her alma mater,鈥 麻豆视频 President David S. Dockery said. 鈥淕enerous in every way, Lealice provide leadership for our alums, served faithfully on the 麻豆视频 board of trustees and provided guidance for the early days of the 麻豆视频 Auxiliary. We give thanks to God for her life, her influence and her legacy.鈥

Visitation will be Oct. 27 from 2-7 p.m. at Pearson鈥檚 Funeral Home in Louisville, Ky. The funeral will be Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. at Walnut Street Baptist Church.
