JACKSON, Tenn.April 3, 2007 — Leo Day will present a vocal recital at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University April 10.

Day, a tenor, has just returned from performances in Germany. He is a native of Canton, Miss., and is the minister of music at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, Fla. He previously served on the faculty at William Carey College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

His recital will feature Broadway show tunes, Negro spirituals, selections from oratorios and art songs.

The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Hartley Recital Hall, located in Jennings Hall on the west end of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s campus. The program is free and open to the public. Call (731) 661-5345 for more information.
