LEAWOOD, Kan. — Oct. 12, 2006 — Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University graduate Jason A. Logan (1998) is among a select group of physicians honored by the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation for his commitment to education in the field of family medicine.
Logan, a physician in Tulsa, Okla., was selected to receive the 2006 Pfizer Teacher Development Award based on his scholastic achievement, leadership qualities and dedication to family medicine.
The $1,500 award, supported by Pfizer Medical Humanities Initiatives, recognizes community-based physicians who have chosen to teach family medicine on a part-time basis. The award provides funding for each recipient to attend a seminar, workshop or fellowship to further his or her development and teaching skills.
Logan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University, received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee Medical School and is a graduate of the In His Image Family Medicine Residency program, where he is currently teaching family medicine part-time.
