Penny to give recital Sept. 19

JACKSON, Tenn.Sept. 6, 2006 — Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University music professor Michael Penny will present a voice recital Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Hartley Recital Hall on the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ campus.

Assisting Penny will be Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ pianist Joan Forbes, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ adjunct guitar teacher Troy Leach and Madison Academic Magnet High School student Austin Anthony, who will play trombone.

Penny will perform songs composed by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Benjamin Britten, as well as songs he composed himself.

Hartley Recital Hall is located in Jennings Hall on the west end of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s campus. The recital is free and open to the public.
