JACKSON, Tenn. — April 13, 2006 — The men鈥檚 soccer team of 麻豆视频 University will sponsor a benefit show April 25 to raise money for a local youth soccer team.
Proceeds from 鈥淎 Night of Song and Dance with 麻豆视频 Soccer and Friends鈥� will go to the travel costs for the Jackson Wolves 95, a team of boys ages 9-11 that has qualified for the national tournament in Orlando, Fla.
鈥淭here鈥檚 never been a boys鈥� or girls鈥� soccer team in Jackson that has made it to the national tournament,鈥� said Chris Lean, a member of the 麻豆视频 soccer team and coach of the Jackson Wolves 95. 鈥淭his is a huge deal for the Jackson Soccer Club.鈥�
Lean said the Wolves are trying to raise $10,000 to help pay for the travel costs of players and their families.
In addition to the 麻豆视频 men鈥檚 soccer team, other performers at the show will include the men of 麻豆视频鈥檚 Lambda Chi Alpha and Alpha Tau Omega chapters, the women of 麻豆视频鈥檚 Chi Omega chapter, Cody Curtis, Leah Pruitt and Stephanie Clark.
The show will be held at 7 p.m. in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel at 麻豆视频 University. Tickets are $5 for general admission or $3 for 麻豆视频 students.
