Music: Fall Choral Concert

Location: First Baptist Church, Jackson (1627 North Highland Avenue)

The first half of the evening will feature ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University’s Women’s Choir, Cantilena, along with the Men’s Choir singing separately and combined for two pieces: β€œDirait-on” by Morten Lauridsen and β€œUntil I Found the Lord” by AndrΓ© Thomas. The second half of the concert will feature ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University Singers, the premier vocal ensemble comprised of 43 sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Singers will be returning from short tour, during which the ensemble will have performed at the annual conference of the National Association for Music Education held in Nashville. Singers’ selections will include a polychoral setting of Psalm 100 by Heinrich SchΓΌtz, Stanford’s lush β€œBeati quorum via,” and β€œRiver to River,” a Tennessee medley composed by ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University Assistant Professor of Music, Dr. Daniel Musselman.

The Fall Choral Concert is free and open to the public.
