Music: Fall Choral Concert

ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University
Location: First Baptist Church, Jackson (1627 North Highland Avenue)
The first half of the evening will feature ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ Universityβs Womenβs Choir, Cantilena, along with the Menβs Choir singing separately and combined for two pieces: βDirait-onβ by Morten Lauridsen and βUntil I Found the Lordβ by AndrΓ© Thomas. The second half of the concert will feature ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University Singers, the premier vocal ensemble comprised of 43 sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Singers will be returning from short tour, during which the ensemble will have performed at the annual conference of the National Association for Music Education held in Nashville. Singersβ selections will include a polychoral setting of Psalm 100 by Heinrich SchΓΌtz, Stanfordβs lush βBeati quorum via,β and βRiver to River,β a Tennessee medley composed by ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ University Assistant Professor of Music, Dr. Daniel Musselman.
The Fall Choral Concert is free and open to the public.
