Biography
Dr. Karen Miller began her accounting career in the manufacturing field with United Technologies managing payroll, receivables, payables, and inventory for a local division of the company. She later transitioned to public accounting where she worked with audit, tax, governmental, and non-profit clients. Dr. Miller was inspired by her own professors to become a teacher herself. She serves as the Director for the Accounting Program and teaches introductory and advanced accounting classes. As a professor, she enjoys getting to walk alongside students as they develop a passion for accounting and watch them graduate and start new jobs in the business field. In her spare time Dr. Miller enjoys playing golf, fishing, skiing, scuba diving, and anything that relates to being outdoors.
