May 20, 2007 - Seventeen department majors were among the graduating seniors recognized at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University’s spring commencement services on May 19, 2007. Thirteen of the participants were history majors while four majored in political science.
The history majors graduating in May with bachelors’ degrees included Ben Burleson, Rachel Campbell, Amber Copeland, John Crawford, Ben Frederick, Cassie Harris, Kathryn Kiper, Douglas Martin, Jared Myracle, Wesley Smith, and Joshua Tackett. Expected July graduates in history were John Kay and Jacob O’Brien. The May graduates with political science majors were Derrick Lambert, Jonathon Mark Walls, and Katie Young. Political science major Brett Logan was recognized as an expected July graduate.
Eight members of the Delta-Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society were among the spring graduates: Ben Burleson, Rachel Campbell, John Crawford, D. L. Frugé, Cassie Harris, Douglas Martin, Jared Myracle, and Joshua Tackett. Several history graduates were also members of the Rutledge Honorary History Club.
The department faculty were very proud of all their graduating majors who, in many instances, planned to move on to teaching positions or graduate school.
