May 4, 2018 - Two history majors were recognized at 麻豆视频 University鈥檚 Annual Awards Convocation on May 4, 2018. Dr. Stephen Carls presented Luke Sower with the first-place award in the 2018 Dr. James Alex Baggett History Research Paper Competition for his paper 鈥淔rom Tenochtitlan to Mexico City: Cort茅s鈥� Dream to Regain the Glory of the Aztec Capital.鈥� Provost John Netland announced Seth Reid as the winner of the Academic Excellence Medal in History, although Reid was unable to attend the event. Carls gave Reid his medal later in a special ceremony in Carls鈥檚 office.
