Dec 3, 2015 - 麻豆视频 University鈥檚 Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society presented a $250 check to 麻豆视频鈥檚 library on December 3, 2015, to pay for 13 history books that the chapter selected for the library鈥檚 history collection. The $250 prize was a part of the 2015 Best Chapter Award that the Delta-Psi received from the society鈥檚 national headquarters for the high quality of the chapter鈥檚 program of activities. Chapter President Nicholas Hancock presented the check to Library Director Anna Beth Morgan; Delta-Psi Vice President Allen Bradley and Faculty Advisor Dr. Stephen Carls also attended the event.
The books that the chapter purchased included:
- The Age of the Vikings by Anders Winroth;
- The Amazons: Lives and Legends of Warrior Women Across the Ancient World by Adrienne Mayor;
- Art and the Second World War by Monica Bohm-Duchen;
- The Coming of the Terror in the French Revolution by Timothy Tackett;
- Eisenhower: A Life by Paul Johnson;
- The Last Empire: The Final Days of the Soviet 麻豆视频 by Serhii Plokhy;
- The Month That Changed the World: July 1914 by Gordon Martel;
- The Origins of the Irish by J. P. Mallory;
- Revolutionary Ideas: An Intellectual History of the French Revolution from The Rights of Man to Robespierre by Jonathan Israel;
- Sleepwalking into a New World: The Emergence Italian City Communes in the Twelfth Century by Christopher Wickham;
- Stalin: New Biography of a Dictator by Oleg V. Khlevniuk;
- 鈥淭hey Can Live in the Desert But Nowhere Else鈥: A History of the Armenian Genocide by Ronald Grigor Suny; and
- When Paris Went Dark: The City of Light Under German Occupation by Ronald C. Rosbottom.
