Before Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ: Grimm came to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ after having played four very successful seasons at USJ. He helped lead the team to a State Title in 2005 and runner-up finishes in 2006 and 2007. Grimm was nominated for the Wendy’s High School Heisman program, one of only three seniors at USJ in 2007-08 to be nominated. As a junior, Grimm hit .384 with a .476 on-base percentage and a .918 fielding percentage. He was second on the team with 58 hits. Grimm also posted 11doubles, 15 stolen bases, 32 RBI, and 56 runs scored. He was named All-District and posted a .417 batting average during the state playoffs. Grimm also played summer baseball with the Jackson Storm 18U team. As their leadoff hitter and starting shortstop, he posted a .524 batting average, .646 on-base percentage, and a .948 fielding percentage. In the TBCA Worth Showcase in Nashville at Vanderbilt University this past summer, Grimm went 3-for-5 with four RBI, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. Earlier in his high school career, Grimm hit .346 with only nine strikeouts in 128 plate appearances during his sophomore season. He was named All-District and went 2-for-3 in the state championship game. As a freshman, Grimm’s first season at USJ, he started at third base in the state championship game and went 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI to help lead USJ to the title. Grimm played baseball as an eighth grader for Jupiter Christian High School JV team where he led the team with a .529 batting average and was selected Most Valuable Player.
