Â鶹ÊÓƵ University’s dual enrollment program allows exceptional high school juniors and seniors (at least 16 years old) to begin their college education before high school graduation. While on-campus classes will be of particular interest to high school students living within a 40-mile radius of campus, the dual enrollment program also offers a selection of online courses that public, private and high school students anywhere can take.

- Student must be at least 16 years old having completed their Sophomore year with a cumulative “B” average OR 20 ACT Composite, 1030 SAT (combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math), or 63 Classical Learning Test (CLT)

Step-by-Step Process
STEP 1:
- Complete and submit application
STEP 2: Submit Supporting Documents
- Have your official high school transcript sent to Â鶹ÊÓƵ
- e-mail to admissions@uu.edu OR
- mail to Â鶹ÊÓƵ University, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 1050 Â鶹ÊÓƵ University Dr., Jackson, TN. 38305
- Have your official ACT/SAT or CLT scores sent to Â鶹ÊÓƵ (if applicable)
- Once these forms are received, an acceptance decision will be made and you will be notified of your acceptance decision and next steps toward registration.
STEP 3: Register for Classes
- Work with the Dual Enrollment Coordinator to determine final costs for the course(s).
- Once payment has been made, an electronic registration form will be issued to the student. This form will need to be signed electronically by both parent and student, desired courses listed and form electronically submitted back to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Once received, the Dual Enrollment Coordinator will process the registration and will e-mail the final, official course schedule to the student.

What do I need to do if I want to attend Â鶹ÊÓƵ University when I graduate from high school?
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ University Office of Undergraduate Admissions will be happy to help! Students would need to submit the Application for Undergraduate Admissions. Do dual enrollment courses transfer to other institutions?
In most cases, Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s courses transfer to other institutions, but it is ultimately the decision of the registrar at the institution to which courses would be transferred. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the college or university she or he plans to attend to ensure that the courses would be accepted. Is there a limit to the number of hours of Dual Enrollment courses that I am permitted to take?
Students may complete a maximum of 24 semester hours through Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s reduced tuition programs, including dual enrollment, rising high school senior, and special semester intensive study programs. Most courses are 3 hour credits, but course credit may vary. Please see for more details.
Is financial assistance available for Dual Enrollment?
If you are a Tennessee resident, you may qualify for the .
What is the TN Dual Enrollment Grant?
Any high school student who has been a Tennessee resident for at least a year can apply. This grant pays $200.55 per credit hour toward classes one through five. It then pays $100 per credit hour for courses 6 through 10. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is necessary to keep the TN DE Grant.
