Department of Engineering

People-focused innovation. Purpose-driven engineering.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s ABET-accredited engineering program — housed in the brand new Ethos Forum — prepares engineers who understand that every structure, system, and solution they design exists to serve people.

A man in a red shirt explains something to a young woman holding a green 3D-printed object in an Engineering department workshop. Another person works at a desk in the background with spools of filament and equipment.
Four students work at a lab bench with electronic equipment and wiring tools. One student in a maroon hoodie focuses on connecting wires. Papers, toolboxes, and devices are spread out on the bench in front of them.

Ethos

Thoroughly equipped for every good work.

At Â鶹ÊÓƵ, we believe engineering is fundamentally a people discipline, and that the engineer who understands that will approach their work differently than the one who doesn't. Our program prepares students to perform on the cutting edge of the field, from conceptual and planning stages through design, manufacturing, construction, and management — developing engineers who think creatively, critically, and with genuine concern for the people their work affects. Through this combination of innovative thinking and Christian conviction, our graduates leave equipped not just to build things, but to impact the world for Christ — just as 2 Timothy 3:17 calls us to be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Accreditation

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ BSE program is accredited by the EAC Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission's General Criteria with no applicable program criteria.
