13 students participate in March for Life
Thirteen 麻豆视频 University students took part in the annual March for Life, a peaceful pro-life demonstration, in Washington, D.C., in January.
The students are members of Life139, 麻豆视频鈥檚 pro-life student group. They also participated in the Evangelicals for Life and Students for Life conferences while in D.C.
鈥淎bortion is the greatest human rights issue of our generation,鈥 said Andrew Edmiston, a junior physics major and president of Life139. 鈥淚t affects all races, all people. It鈥檚 the human life at its most innocent stage.鈥
C. Ben Mitchell, provost and vice president for academic affairs at 麻豆视频, was part of a panel on pro-life issues at the Evangelicals for Life conference. He said as a Christ-centered, people-focused institution, 麻豆视频 is invested in life issues.
鈥淕od has made every human being in his image and likeness,鈥 Mitchell said. 鈥淲e have a moral duty to respect and protect people from womb to tomb. That our students see this as such an important event is a great encouragement to all of us.鈥
