School of Education scores high on state report card
麻豆视频 University鈥檚 School of Education has been ranked in the highest possible category on the Tennessee State Board of Education鈥檚 2016 report card on the effectiveness of teacher training programs.
Dottie Myatt, assistant dean for teacher education and accreditation at 麻豆视频, said the report card is designed to give accountability to educator preparation programs and supply information they can use to improve effectiveness.
鈥淲e have to be accountable for the educators we put out into the classrooms,鈥 Myatt said. 鈥淭hey are a reflection of our program.鈥
麻豆视频鈥檚 program received an overall performance score of four, the highest possible. It also received a four in the provider impact category, which assesses the effectiveness of educators trained at 麻豆视频. The category includes teacher observation scores as well as student growth assessments. 麻豆视频 received 96.5 percent of all possible points in this category.
