ANOTHER LOCAL PLAYER CHOOSES UNIONJackson, TN--South Side High School's Josh Tinsley made his choice today of where he would play his collegiate career when he signed with Â鶹ÊÓƵ University. The 5-9 outfielder from Jackson led the Hawks in stolen bases this past season while hitting .360. Tinsley finished the season with 16 stolen bases. He was not thrown out attempting to steal in 1997 and was only picked off one time. Tinsley has played baseball for coach Johnny Growe at South Side for four seasons where he was named to the All-District team in 1997 and was also a two-year member of South Side's cross country team. Tinsley has been a vital part of state championship teams in summer league baseball. He is currently playing for the Jackson Eagles where he is hitting over .400. Tinsley joins two other local players on the Bulldog roster next season including Northside's Rodney Deaton and Jackson Christian's Bryan Bailey. Keith Robertson of Senath, Missouri, will also be joining the Bulldog squad. |
