TRYRIAN RIDGES COMMITS TO UNION

Jackson, TN--Tryrian Ridges, a point guard from Silver Springs, Maryland, will be joining the men's basketball program at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University this fall. The 6-1 sophomore will be transferring to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ from Virginia Commonwealth University. A 1995 graduate of Springbrook Senior High School in Maryland, Ridges averaged 24 points and 7 assists per game while scoring over 2,500 points during his high school career. Ridges has accumulated several honors including first team All-State, first team All- Washington D.C., and was named to the McDonald's All-American team.

According to head coach, Ralph Turner, "Tryrian will give our team explosive quickness on the perimeter. He has all the tools to be a premier player in the TranSouth and in the NAIA. He is a piece of the puzzle that we have been missing and will make everybody on our team better."
