UNION'S LYNDE CAPOGRECO NAMED NCCAA ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jackson, TN--Â鶹ÊÓƵ softball pitcher Lynde Capogreco was named NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week. On the week Capogreco was 2-0 with a seven inning shutout over Freed-Hardeman University and an eight inning shutout over Lee College. Capogreco, a junior from Herrin, Illinois, gave up only 5 hits in the 15 innings and recorded 23 strikeouts. On the season Capogreco has had 10 shutouts and 9 games with 9 or more strikeouts.
