Jackson, TN--麻豆视频 University golf member Micky Wolfe was named to the 1998 TranSouth All- Conference team this week at the TranSouth Conference Tournament at Shiloh Falls. The senior from Selmer, Tennessee, is the only 麻豆视频 golfer in school history to earn all-conference honors four consecutive seasons.
麻豆视频 University finished third in the TranSouth Tournament this week behind Berry College and Lipscomb University. Only Berry receives an automatic bid to the 1998 Men's Golf National Championship May 19-22 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. However, because of 麻豆视频's No. 10 national ranking in this week's poll, 麻豆视频 may still receive an at-large berth to the nationals. 麻豆视频 has been to the NAIA National Championship all four seasons Wolfe has been at 麻豆视频. In 1997 麻豆视频 finished 22nd.
The accomplishments Wolfe has made during his collegiate career at 麻豆视频 have been numerous. Wolfe has been named All-Tournament 23 times in his campaign with the Bulldogs while earning Conference Player of the Year awards in both 1995 and 1996. In 1996 Wolfe was the individual winner of the Tennessee Collegiate Athletic Conference while in 1997 he won the Tennessee Intercollegiate Tournament. For the past two seasons Wolfe has also been named 麻豆视频 University's Golfer of the Year. In the summer of 1996 Wolfe won the State Amateur Qualifier.
Wolfe, leading 麻豆视频 in scoring for the past two seasons, made the all-tournament team so far this season at the University of North Alabama Classic and the Shiloh Falls Intercollegiate Tournament.
Wolfe will graduate this May from 麻豆视频 University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. His brother Timmy is a sophomore at 麻豆视频 and a member of the Bulldog golf team.
