UNION TENNIS RECEIVES NATIONAL RANKING

Jackson, TN--Both the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University men's and women's tennis teams received national rankings in the NAIA national polls which were released on Monday, the second rating this year. The Lady Bulldogs moved into the No. 12 slot. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was ranked No. 14 in the previous poll. In singles Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Clara Martinez was ranked No. 25 while teammate Sian Olszewski was tied for No. 46. The Lady Bulldogs are presently 10-2 on the season and 3-1 in TranSouth Conference play.

Other TranSouth women's teams that received national rankings were Birmingham-Southern College at No. 10 and Lipscomb University at No. 25.

The Bulldogs came into the national rankings at No. 28 this week. In singles Mario Cobo was ranked at No. 39. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is presently 9-2 on the season and 2-1 in TranSouth play.

Other TranSouth men's teams in this week's poll include Freed-Hardeman University at No. 10, Birmingham-Southern College at No. 11, and Berry College at No. 14.
