Jackson, TN--Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University basketball player, Marquetta Hunt, has been named to the NAIA Academic All-American team for the second consecutive season. The 5-9 senior from Huntigdon, Tennessee, currently has a 3.57 grade point average in communications.
Hunt helped guide her team to a final season record of 35-5 and the NAIA National Championship game last week in Jackson, Tennessee. On the season Hunt averaged 6.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
Hunt has earned several other academic honors during her collegiate basketball career including TCAC Scholar Athlete, TranSouth Scholar Athlete, and has been nominated for the Aruthur Ashe Sports Scholar Award.
