Jackson, TN--Â鶹ÊÓƵ University's Michael Hopper has been named National Christian College Athletic Association's Student Athlete of the Week. The junior lefthander from Walnut, Mississippi, pitched a complete game on Saturday against Berry College to merit the win and earned his first save on Friday. In eight innings pitched, Hopper had 7 strikeouts and a 1.12 earned run average on the week. Hopper currently leads the Bulldog pitching staff with a 1.52 earned run average and a 3-2 record.
