Jackson, TN--Three Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University athletes earned Student Athlete of the Week honors from the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) for their sport this week. In men's basketball it was junior guard Tryrian Ridges who earned the honor. On the week the native of Silver Spring, Maryland, scored a total of 43 points in the Bulldogs two games on the week. Ridges shot 15-of-24 from the field, 3-of-7 from the three-point arc, and 10-of-10 from the line.
In baseball it was Camden's Jeff Rowland who once again earned the honors. This is the second consecutive time that Rowland has been named NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week. On the week Rowland hit .571 (4-of-7) with three runs scored, two homeruns and five runs batted in.
Murfreesboro's Jennifer Polk earned the honor for softball. Polk, the Lady Bulldog's catcher, was 5-of-7 (.714) with 3 runs batted in. Polk has now brought her season hitting average to .543.
