LYNDE CAPOGRECO EARNS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jackson, TN--A Â鶹ÊÓƵ University softball player earned her first honor of the season on Tuesday. Senior pitcher Lynde Capogreco was named NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Student Athlete of the Week for February 22-29, 1998. Capogreco received two wins on the week with victories over William Carey College and Mississippi University for Women. In 15 innings pitched Capogreco gave up only two runs while striking out 25 batters.
On the 1998 season Capogreco is 3-1 with a 0.50 earned run average and has compiled 50 strikeouts.
