LADY BULLDOGS SIGN ARKANSAS STANDOUT
Jackson, TN--The No. 1 ranked Lady Bulldogs added another outstanding player to their 1998-99 roster on Tuesday afternoon when they signed Jonesboro's Mary Catherine Way. The 5-9 guard from Jonesboro High School has earned several honors in her athletic career including All-State, All-Conference, and Blue Star South All-Star.
With the help of Way, Jonesboro High School is presently ranked number one in the state with a 20-1 overall record. Way is presently shooting 53 percent from the three-point arc, 55 percent from the field, and 76 percent from the free-throw line. In addition to her outstanding basketball talents, Way is a top academic student with a 4.0 grade point average and will graduate at the top of her class in 1998.

Way joins other Lady Bulldog signees Westview's Beth Ann Boroughs and University School's Mary Beth Haltom.
