UNION UNIVERSITY SIGNS SOFTBALL RECRUIT
Jackson, TN--The Â鶹ÊÓƵ University softball program signed a recruit this week for the 1999 season. Rachel Murray, a pitcher from Herrin, Illinois, will join the Lady Bulldog roster next season. Murray will graduate from Herrin High School this spring. During her junior season in 1997, Murray compiled a 16-5 overall record with a .65 earned run average and 188 strikeouts. Murray's outstanding pitching performances included two no-hitters and nine shutouts.
