USJ STANDOUT TO SIGN WITH UNION
Jackson, TN--University School of Jackson basketball player Mary Beth Haltom will commit today to play her collegiate career for the Lady Bulldogs. The 5-foot-7 guard has also been considering the University of Memphis, East Tennessee State University and Lambuth University but chose Â鶹ÊÓƵ because of their program, coaches and fans.
Haltom has earned numerous achievements in her basketball career including All-District, All-Region, District Player of the Year, All-State and was selected by USA Today as one of the top 25 high school basketball players in the state of Tennessee.
Haltom is presently averaging 14 points per game with a 50 percent field goal average.
Haltom joins other Lady Bulldog signee Beth Ann Burrows from Martin Westview.
