UNION PROFESSOR TEACHES SEMINARS AT TRI-STATE CONFERENCE
Jackson, Tenn. — David Burke, director of theater at Â鶹ÊÓƵ University, recently taught three seminars at the Tri-State Fellowship of Christian Puppeteers Conference at Woodland Baptist Church in Jackson, Tenn.
He has participated in other Theatre Arts Conferences. This summer he taught at the 1997 International Christians in the Theatre Arts Conference in Maryland.
At this year's Tri-State Conference, Burke spoke on the subjects of acting, creativity and biblical imagination. The conference featured a dinner theatre, workshops, songs and fellowship, competition performances and all types of entertainment.
Burke was recognized as Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Faculty Member of the Year in 1994. He has served as associate professor of Communication Arts at Â鶹ÊÓƵ since 1987.
