Jackson, Tenn. – October 24, 2000 – The Â鶹ÊÓƵ University
Jazz Band will perform their fall concert Thursday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in
the recital hall, D-3, located in the Penick Academic Complex.
Directed by Â鶹ÊÓƵ University music professor David McClune, the concert
will feature a wide range of music including classics by Benny Goodman and
Duke Ellington, Cuban and Latin Jazz, and many big band era favorites.
McClune hopes that this concert will attract a variety of people for the
audience, both from on and off-campus.
The concert is free and open to the public. "Be warned,
however," said McClune, "those who attend may leave with rhythm
in their soul."
